Overview

This safari package will include the game drive to various attractions found in the southern circuit, one will be able to visit Nyerere national park the exotic Mafia islands. This safari package is suitable for Solo Travelers, Group Travelers, Adventure Travelers, and Family-based Travelers. This Safari Package will include a professional driver-guide and a 4×4 Safari Vehicle.

The place to visit; Nyerere Ex Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha, Katavi and Mafia Island

Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam. On arrival and after immigration and customs procedures you will receive our Professional Driver Guide who will assist you with the luggage to the waiting vehicle. Thereafter drive to Peacock Hotel in Dar Es Salaam City Centre overnight. Room Plan: 1 Double/ Twin Bed & Breakfast Basis

After early breakfast, we will depart from the Peacock Hotel at 07.00 am and drive to Selous River Camp with packed lunch boxes. Picnic lunch on the way. Arrive at Selous River Camp at 14.00hrs. After checking in at Selous River Camp, at 16.00hrs enjoy a fascinating boat trip on the Rufiji River with a Professional Guide. Plenty of Wildlife to be seen on the river banks as we cruise filled with the amazing sunset never to be found anywhere in Africa. Thereafter we will return to Selous River Camp for a hot shower dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp. At the Camp, you can enjoy a Campfire overlooking the Rufiji River accompanied by the sounds of Hippos and bushbabies. Room Plan: 1 Double / Twin: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner

After breakfast this day we will enjoy a full-day game in Nyerere national park. Picnic lunch in the park. Later in the afternoon, drive back to Selous River Camp for dinner and overnight. Room Plan: 1 Double / Twin: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Start very early in the morning with coffee or tea and some fruit then we continue with a nice nature walking safari in the Nyerere national park accompanied by a Ranger and a Guide. A very interesting activity which can take up to 2 to 3 hours. In our walk, our guide will explain to you the Flora and Fauna of Nyerere national park and get to see different species of animals and birds at a closer range. After the activity, we will return to Selous River Camp for breakfast. After breakfast enjoys a half-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve with a picnic lunch. The afternoon is yours to enjoy and unwind yourself on the balcony of your room the sunset, sounds of the mother nature as the day pass by. Dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp. After breakfast, we will depart from Selous River Camp and drive to Mikumi via Morogoro City. This drive which is approximately 9hrs is one of a very interesting drive, passing through hundreds of African Villages, Farm Fields and Forests. Picnic lunch on the way. Arrive at Tan – Swiss Lodge at 17.00hrs. Hot shower, dinner, and overnight at Tan – Swiss Lodge. (Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

After breakfast at 08.00 am drive to Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes for full day game drive. Picnic lunch in Mikumi National Park. Later in the afternoon, back to Tan–Swiss Lodge for dinner and overnight. Room Plan: 1 Double/ 1 Twin: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, check out from Tan Swiss Lodge at 09.00 am and drive to Mikumi Airstrip with packed lunch boxes for our flight with Safari Air Link departing at 12.20 hrs. arriving at Ruaha Msembe Airstrip in Ruaha National Park at 13.25hrs. On arrival, you will receive by Mdonya Old River Camp driver guide who will welcome you and assist you with your luggage to the waiting vehicle. Thereafter enjoy your game drive in Ruaha National Park till late afternoon when we will drive and check in at Mdonya Old River Camp for dinner and overnight. Wake up early for an early morning breakfast at 05.00 am. After breakfast depart from Mdonya Old River Camp and drive to Msembe Airstrip with packed lunch for your flight to Katavi National Park with Safari Air Link departing to Katavi at 07.00 am. On arrival in Katavi National Park at 09.15 am you will be received by a Katuma Bush Lodge driver guide who will welcome you and assist you with your luggage to the waiting vehicle. Thereafter enjoy a full-day game drive in Katavi National Park. Picnic lunch in Katavi National Park. Later in the afternoon, drive to Katuma Bush Lodge for dinner and overnight. After breakfast, enjoy the morning game drive in Katavi National Park. At noon we will drive back to the Lodge for hot lunch. After lunch, we will continue with our game drive till late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Katuma Bush Lodge. ( Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

After breakfast, we will depart from Katuma Bush Lodge and drive to Katavi Airstrip for our flight with Safari Air Link departing at 11.00 am arriving in Mafia at 5.00 pm via Dar Es Salaam. On arrival, you will be received by Kinasi Lodge www.kinasilodge.com   driver who will welcome you and assist you with your luggage to the waiting vehicle. Full day at leisure at Kinasi Lodge: Garden Sea View Ensuite Room: Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner(Please note that Kinasi Lodge is inside the Marine Park and offers direct beach snorkeling inclusive of Whale Shark excursions where in November they are easily seen. This activity costs USD 65pp)

After breakfast, check out at 10.00 am. Depending on your international flight there are 2 flights from Mafia Airport to Dar Es Salaam by Coastal Aviation. The first flight departs at 12.45 pm arriving in Dar Es Salaam at 1.15 pm. The Second Flight departs at 4.30 pm arriving in Dar Es Salaam at 5.00 pm. Please note that for all international flights one has to check in at least 3 hours before departure.
